Starched
These sheets, after washing and a gentle dry, feel more like a crisp, starched shirt. Though i do find them breathable. Coming off of the old school softer linen sheets for decades, there has been a big acclamation period going on. I am, however, beginning to get used to their unique texture and feel. They do seem like good quality. And are a bit heavier like i had wanted. However, honestly, i do not think i would have purchased them knowing what i know now. Although they are starting to grow on me. Maybe with a few more washes they will loosen up some more.

Fantastic linens.
I have ordered four times from Egyptian linens and will only order from them now. Their American made sheets and covers are the best. Amazing feel and quality. Great service and fast delivery.

608 vs 800
I've now tried the 608 and 800 count products, and both are much better than any high-count sheet I've bought off Amazon (even 1800). Years ago, I bought from department stores and I've finally found the same quality at a doable price. Now for the comparison.... I am very happy with the 608 (2 sets), but the 800 went on sale so I thought I'd try them. Note the 800 only had 2 washes, vs 608 completely broke in. The softness is very close, but the 800 are heavier (this may also be due to the extra washes the 608 have endured), so I believe they will end up a little softer. Even if they are the same softness, I believe the 800 will last longer. Other than that, they are identical in size, quality, customer service, etc... Bottom line, you can't go wrong with either. The 608 is a great price point to "try" Egyptian Linens quality and service, and I promise you will be happy. However, you will move up to the 800 at some point. I am going to stay with the 800 because I believe they will last a little longer, end up being a bit softer and that is worth a little extra.
