Amazing upgrade for my Omtech 80W

I had researched multiple lens upgrade options for my Omtech 80W laser and American Photonics was always at the top of every list, and rightfully so. I upgraded my mirrors and purchased the lens kit at the same time and it has made a world of difference in both the cut and engrave quality of my machine. The nozzle design provides much better air-assist functionality for cuts. I've primarily used the 2.5" focal length lense, through testing it gives me the best results without constantly switching lenses out, but the cut efficiency of the 4" has made working with thicker material a breeze. My engrave detail is noticeably better on tumblers and leatherette and cut time is reduced by about 25% with cleaner cuts and a smaller kerf diameter. The only downside was the need to edit all of my settings because of the increased efficiency of the mirrors and lense. One example is on Lonestar leatherette my engrave power settings went from 18-24% at 500mm/sec down to 10-13% at 600mm/sec. There is no power variation at any point on my 20x28" bed. The added bonus of the reverse alignment tool allowed me to dial the laser path in perfectly in a little less than 30 minutes. Everything was installed and aligned in under an hour. If you're on the fence about the upgrade, do it. You won't be disappointed.
