Three Pockets Full

I love this book so much. It encompasses the promise of so much in those four pockets. I love the resistance of the kiddo, it's so real. And I love the way in which the illustrations make you chuckle through and then make you sad for the protagonist (just a moment -- it's more empathy than sad), and then it all turns to promise -- tradition and promise -- the past leading to the future through the present...my favorite kind of story. Love this book.
