THE PHANTOM OF THE MONASTERY - BD

This movie is a fascinating glimpse into early Mexican cinema. It's extremely tame by today's standards but, once I'd watched it, I found my love of cinema reignited. A ghost story with the interesting addition of a love triangle between the three leads. The film also has a dream-like quality at times that leaves you wondering if what you think happened really did happen. This release has some excellent extras that heighten your enjoyment of repeat viewings of the movie but not enough to drown you in unnecessary information. Highly recommended.
