Great Replacement

Recently my 2016 MacBook Pro Touch Bar fell victim to dreaded ‘flexgate issue’. Thought about getting a techo to attempt a 'cable solder repair job' but after some consideration opted, on Macfixit advice, to replace the entire screen. It arrived quickly, well packaged and was relatively easy to install (around 50 mins) as I had recently replaced the MBP’s battery as a DIY project and had the right tools (P5 & P2 screwdrivers). Initially I panicked as it did not start up but then realised I hadn’t recharged the battery since draining it to remove the old screen. A few hours of charging and the MBP and screen back to worked perfectly as was the Touch Bar & wifi (meaning they has also been reinstalled correctly. So I while a costly repair for this 76yo pensioner, as I don’t need the latest bells & whistles system, it does mean I will now get many more years of life from my MacBook Pro.
