Garmin Fenix X and the good strap

Been a few weeks of daily wear on the Sailcloth/rubber hybrid strap with the deployant clasp. Mainly desk navigation, but some time spent in the bush. The strap is what I hoped it would be, slightly upmarket from the Garmin rubber, somewhat more solid, and able to be adjusted for just enough tension for constant readings off the arm. Two small issues so far. 1. The deployant clasp strap pin is a solid clean metal (silver) colour. It shows through the hole in the strap for the tongue of the standard clasp. 2. At some stage in the first week there was run of threads coming off the stitching of the watch. Monitoring since then shows no harm done, and no further shedding of threads. Continuing to monitor, but think it may have been a byproduct of the manufacturing process. Overall, very much the strap I hoped it would be. Even referred a friend to Strapify when his Garmin strap broke.

The perfect strap for the first day

This strap is so close to being perfect. Absolutely beautiful and wore like a dream. However after 1 week of light wear the stitching frayed and came undone down the sides of the straps leaving it looking tattered and bits of fabric hanging out. I was hoping this strap would be a departure from the usual poor quality of strapifys offerings, I should have known better. A shame
