The Devil's Game [2-Disc Blu-ray]

The good folks at Severin give us the final film of the reigning master of Italian horror, some 32 years after his death. Includes an audio commentary by the always knowledgeable Tim Lucas. I have not had time to view the other episodes of this series that are included yet, but look forward to seeing them. The Bava (or should I say “Bavas” directed episode as it was directed by both Mario and Lamberto) is a finely-crafted exercise in slow-burn horror. Thanks again to Severin Films for going the extra mile to bring us what could have been a lost film/series.
