Saltwater fly rod
I have only casted this rod in my yard. The rod is fast and comfortable to cast. I'm looking forward to using it this spring on Long Island

Fantastic Build and Eye-candy in appearance!!!
Gorgeously Handcrafted and I'm looking forward to this 7wt for sight-fishing Redfish on the flats of the Chesapeake Bay as well as Smallmouth Bass and winter Steelhead adventures. . . . .

Amazing rods
Never thought I would be thanking American Airlines for losing all of my saltwater rods But this gave me an opportunity to try out Penobscot eight and nine weights when I was visiting friends in Freeport Maine. These rods are spectacularly beautiful. The Cork grips are first class. The real seats are beautiful and make for a very, very secure reel fitting. guide wraps are expertly made and high-quality. The overall aesthetics of the rod do have a Maine MAINE feel. But the proof is in the casting. They are without a doubt, some of the finest casting rods I have ever used. They are definitely on par with any of the new Orvis helios rods, which I have also fished with. But they are , less than half the price. I just used my eight and nine weight Penob Scott in Belize. They cast beautifully, but they were also suited well for landing fish. In summary I am delighted with the purchase of these rods and I can recommend them enthusiastically.
