Tall Cylinder

Huge improvement

I am 5’9” but found the standard chair too low, the tall cylinder made a significant difference for me I hope this can be standard vs an additional purchase. However customer service was 10/10 with support and assistance

Don't get how this helps

This really doesn't do much to raise the chair at all. We bought it at the same time as the chair so it wasn't difficult to install, but it's not much of a difference from the regular height. Thought this would convert the chair to more of a drafting stool level but it definitely does not! If you are planning to use this for a higher table/standing desk situation it doesn't work for that

Impossible to use

So I got this after getting one of the softside chairs, which by default come with the short cylinder and no clear disclosures that a “tall” cylinder might be better for some customers, so I had to purchase this after setting up the chair and realizing it’s too short for me. Once I got this, it has been impossible to actually get into the chair. I’ve used a rubber mallet and WD-40 to try getting the wheels off the chair to swap out the cylinder, but it just won’t come out since, to my knowledge, there is no easy way to swap it out. The instructions say a rubber mallet should be sufficient to do the swap, but it just won’t work and now I have a chair that’s too short (otherwise a very comfortable chair) and a cylinder I can’t swap in. Very disappointing experience.
