Freeze Dried Raw Meals

I mixed Get Joy in with their regular home cooked meals. I found they enjoyed Get Joy more if I added a little water to create a gravy and soften the food.

I actually left on a trip right after I received it, and with all of my puppies food allergies I did not want to start it prior to leaving. So we haven’t even tried it yet. I’ll let you know as soon as we get home and I start giving him some. I only gave it three stars because obviously we haven’t tried it.

It’s been only about four weeks since we have switched. The negatives are that the food does not absorb water no matter how long you leave it or how hot of water you use. This means I have to blend it in a food processor every day before adding water to make a paste that I can put into a slow feeder. This has worked perfectly and slows down my dog to about 20 min to eat. This has helped him digest better. He has not thrown up his food at all since switching and his poops are much better. I have noticed his coat is getting softer and his breath smells better. I have not noticed any improvement in licking or scratching yet.
