This HÅG SoFi chair looks and feels premium. It was very easy to install. There are so many ergonomic adjustments under (and around) the chair that it's almost overwhelming at first, but you can truly make the chair fit you the way you want it to. The manual doesn't say much, but there are videos online with better instructions. If you let it, the chair rocks back AND forth smoothly. You can't lean back quite as far as in some "racing style" chairs, but you get a wide range of tilt, and it's easily accessible—no need to crawl under the chair to find the tilt adjustment knob. The seat, thankfully, is fabric, not mesh; it is on the firmer side, but not too much so. It is pleasantly thick and I would never worry about bottoming out. By far the weakest point of the chair is the lumbar support. It is a bit too hard (you do get used to it), only seems to have 2 settings (up or down), and is finicky to adjust with. It has a hard time staying up, too, so I think most people will just leave it down and forget about it. BUT, this chair is truly redeemed and catapulpted to 5 stars with the SlideBack feature. The engineering is top-notch and the sliding works effortlessly; this is something the now-traditional "4D armrests" could never hope to achieve. The arms also have a huge range of motion as they can go surprisingly high, or surprisingly low. If you want armrests sometimes but don't want them other times, this is the chair to get. It's an exponential evolution compared to the flip-up arm mechanism you see on some chairs. Small note: If you like to go barefooted, watch out for those wider foot-resting areas on the base, which are neat but could feel sharp on bare feet. Thanks to Phil Zen for ensuring my satisfaction throughout the order process.
