Beautiful dress but size up

It was a beautiful dress however, I'm very curvy and have a larger chest (34 G) for reference with wide hips. I usually wear a 14 in pants and dress. I did return the XL and try the XXL because I loved the dress so much but it was still too snug.

This dress is so flattering and very well made. It is comfortable and the slit is cut really well to show some leg while maintaining it's elegance. The sizing was a little disproportionate for me, as I have an smaller waist but a wider rib cage. I sized up as a result but then the bust/straps were a little too big. I wear a medium in other clothing but sized up to a large for this dress so the bodice would fit. Thankfully the waist and hips still look good sized up as well. I love it so much I just plan to have the straps shortened to get the bust to fit me right.
