These lures were obviously designed with jumping species like tarpon and snook in mind. The sliding hook separating from the lead head makes it much more difficult for a jumping fish to throw the hook with head shakes.

I love the slide jigs I used them for gag grouper and they can’t resist them!! One of the best jigs out there!!
