Great Toy

Some things to be aware of: (1) The simulator comes in about 5-7 separate packages over about 6 weeks. Each package is well engineered. (2) The enclosure and hitting surface is well done and relatively easy to put together. Did it largely by myself with help from my wife. (3) Mounting the projector on the ceiling is a little harder and that required my adult son. (4) Indoor Golf Shop recommends 9 ft clearance and that is good guidance. I had 8’-7” clearance. I also bought the hitting surface (SIGPRO Softy 4' x 10' Golf Mat) that sits up 2 inches, reducing the clearance to 8’-5”. I have made that work but I have nicked the ceiling twice with a 5 wood and I am only 5’-9”. I may have to go back to the less expensive mat that sits a little lower. (5) When I walk on the hitting mat with my regular skecher shoes (not golf shoes) it generates a LOT of static electricity. Had to be sure to ground myself before touching the laptop. The good news is that it is mostly confined to that shoe. Other shoes generate much less static electricity. (6) The credit card is charged the full amount immediately and, in my case, the last component shipped 47 days after purchase. Be prepared for that. Trevor Cash at The Indoor Golf Shop has been a lot of help. The best way to get help seems to be email. The phone is a little less satisfying as the best you can do is get a call back. Everyone I dealt with has been very professional and helpful. I do recommend them and I am very happy with my new toy. No better way to spend a rainy or cold winter day.
