So far, so good.
I've been wearing these boots for a couple of weeks now. I love the support and balance when walking. I have a weak ankle and regular cowboy boots don't provide enough support. In the saddle, they are comfortable and fit into my stirrups well. I'll be testing them out on the dance floor next weekend. It's nice to finally wear something comfortable on my wide feet and high arches.

Great packing/hiking boots
This is my second pair of these boots and I just love them. I ride western and do trail maintenance. I needed boots that were waterproof, had good tread, could hold up to a beating, could support spurs, were comfy for occasional hiking, and could fit toe warmers. These boots do all of those things. A little stiff at first (duh) but they've worn into really comfy boots. I've had my first pair for 2+ years and they were my main pair of boots on a week-long horse packing trip this year. I just bought a second pair because I love the new light brown color and I'm secretly worried that Kerrits will stop selling these boots. I have a narrow heel, but the ball of my foot is regular (not wide or narrow) and these fit me well; the boots are true to size. Regarding the waterproofness - I live in an area that is wet and cold all winter and my feet are still cozy and dry in my old boots during 4+ hour trail rides. I've ridden these in a thunderstorm and my feet stayed dry. However, the waterproofness doesn't go very high up the boot - if you step in a deep puddle or spray the hose at your foot, the water can get in where the tongue meets the rest of the shoe. I think that's pretty standard and I only trust my muck boots to actually keep my feet dry while using the hose. I never write reviews but I came here for this. My friends in my local Back Country Horsemen group have purchased these boots because I evangelize about these boots whenever anybody is looking for a new pair. They seem to like them too! A lot of my friends originally had the Ariat hiking/riding boots but I never liked that boot because it didn't come up high enough over the ankle. I need a tall boot for warmth and protection during trail maintenance. Happy shopping!

Good practical boots!
My new boots will do the job - trail riding, horse maintenance. They are a bit stiff but I think they will break in well. Good grippy sole and good ankle support!
