A beautiful instrument - Ein schmuckes Instrument

Der Klang ist gut und die Gestaltung mit dem ägyptischen Lebenskreuz „Ankh“ hatte es mir angetan. Allerdings gab es eine Enttäuschung (deshalb ein Stern Abzug): das Ankh ist nur aufgedruckt mit dem Kreis auf dunklem Grund. Es schimmert also nicht das Messing durch. - Ich habe diesen Mangel behoben und Kreis mit dem Ankh freigelegt mit Gravur. Jetzt ist der Gong aus „einem Guß“ in der Gestaltung. Der Klang hat nicht gelitten. Er ist warm und voluminös - sowohl beim Anschlag, als auch beim Anreiben. Leider war er durch den Transport nach Deutschland, Zoll und Steuern insgesamt 1200 Euro teuer - doppelt soviel wie vergleichbare Feng Gongs, die ich in Deutschland bekommen könnte. Trotzdem freue ich mich über diesen Kauf. Der Versand nach Deutschland ging schnell. Verpackung war vorbildlich. The sound is good and the design with the Egyptian life cross “Ankh” did it to me. However, there was a disappointment (that's why a star print): the ankh is only printed with the circle on a dark background. So it doesn't shimmer through the brass. - I corrected this defect and uncovered circle with the Ankh with engraving. Now the gong is made of “one piece” in the design. The sound didn't suffer. It is warm and voluminous - both when striking and when rubbing. Unfortunately, it was 1200 euros in total due to the transport to Germany, customs and taxes - twice as much as comparable Feng gongs that I could get in Germany. Nevertheless, I am happy about this purchase. Shipping to Germany was quick. Packaging was exemplary.
