Great fitting shorts with features, but. . .

I recently got back into distance running and am prepping for a half marathon. After seeing the hype on social media, I decided to try these shorts to compare to other brands to hopefully find my daily driver. I love the story and the overall shorts - they are both comfortable and fit well. The back pocket is a nice touch and secures whatever I decide to fit in it. However, the phone pocket is much too tight for my Google Pixel 9 XL with dbrand grip case. The pocket does fit phones - without a case. Unfortunately, I cannot wear these shorts for runs where I might need my phone as getting it back in the pocket is a struggle (although the tab does somewhat help). The pocket could use about 0. 5-1. 0 inch more in the width to accommodate cases. . . So, good fit, sweat resistance is great in the pockets, full of features, and comfortable. But if you run with a phone, it's a struggle.
