Large gate opening for ease of use
The HMS K has an exaggerated D shape to provide a wide opening. It helps when using larger ropes and when you need to do a Munter Hitch. The key lock prevents the nose from snagging on your gear.

New set of carabiners
I purchased a new set of carabiners, when they arrived I was very impressed with the quality of them. I haven't had a chance to use them yet but I can't wait to try them out.
