Quality glass, non-Chinese lids

As is usually the case with glass food storage, the containers themselves are very good and the lids are just ok. Of the 8 of these I bought, one had a lid that broke during transport even though all the glass arrived in good shape. Plastic should not be heated even though it is supposedly microwave oven safe, so this is inferior to the Future line which is entirely glass and silicone. Unfortunately there is nothing in this size in that line. The lids do snap closed nicely and hold well, better than the silicone and glass lids in the Future line. These are good containers for casserole portions, steaks, and similar large solid leftovers. Made in Italy, not China, which is hard to find in the US. Good stuff if you need something in this size range.
