A tool of the trade

Both my sister and I are authors. She admired my Kauri wood pencil from Allegory, so I'm treating her to one as her Christmas present. Researching in archives you can only use pencils, and this one is a pleasure to use, with an excellent mechanism, and positive grip. Also, as a writer there is just something about having one of the tools of your trade that is 40-50,000 years old. It gives you a sense of perspective. As a musician once said about the famous violin he played: 'I don't own it, I move through its life.'
