Hybrid vs Night Ranger

I have both the Nano Hybrid and the Night Ranger in 7 foot heavy that I plan to jig with. I think the Nano is a better feeling rod and am tempted to add the HX for stripers. The NR seems to have more backbone, and you can see that when side by side. Reel wise it’s a Fathom 300 or 400, Tranx 300 or conquest. I think the conquest is going on the NR, and one of the other 3 are googling on the Nano. Leaning 300 sized right now.

Great for Sea Bass and Tog

I have the 7' XH paired with a Saltist 20H star drag. It's been great for working tog jigs and for bottom rigs for both tog and sea bass. It's light, sensitive, and that initial hook set is quick. There's plenty of power on the initial lift from keeping tog from pulling me into a hole. It's my first spiral wrap and I really prefer the feel of it when using braid.
