Poppy Pin Badge WRAF

I was making a cheque presentation on Armed Forces Day and wanted to show my connection with the WRAF - nice broach and looked good! Secure fastening too.

I’m extremely proud of my WRAF service, and my brooch will be on the current jacket that I wear.

Bought this for my wife. We met when we were in the R.A.F. in the early 70's. We were married in 1974 and soon after my wife fell pregnant with our first child and, as per procedure in those days, she was forced to leave. I left several years later for civvi street, but we are still very proud of serving our country. And each year is even more important to us as my late parents were married on the 11th of November. My wife was over the moon with her WRAF brooch and says she will wear it with immense pride as she stands to repect the 2 minute silence on November 11th.
