A soon as I saw the Black Oak product, I knew this was what I needed but also knew I would have to come up with a way to make them variable light output. I am very familiar with variable LED circuits, I’ve worked with PWM (pulse width modulation) circuits in the past, including part of my career. PWM is necessary as you know, you can’t vary DC voltage on this type of light to change the output intensity. (Lumens) So at first, I thought I would only require two lights and mount them on either side of the boat as needed. The more I thought about it, the more I realized, that would be quite inconvenient, especially at night with avoiding no light on the boat, to maintain night vision. Hence, my two order status, broken into 2 and 2. Also ordering flood initially, and realizing I needed diffused, which I ordered on the second attempt. Then your service department promptly sent me the diffused lenses for the original order at a reasonable cost. I am very satisfied with the outcome and can’t wait to get back out and harass some more bass at night.
