Budgie Mix

I bought this in store to try for my fussy budgie. He eats most of it. The coconut & rolled oats are small but I need to break into smaller pieces else he wont touch it. I have tried other brands but found this to b the best & it has so many ingredients. So I recently purchased online as I couldn't get to store. Not disappointed everything packed with care.

Great natural mix

I have updated this original review due to the store's lack of fair/reasonable customer service and fair trading lapse on the arrival of my seed contaminated with weevils. Not because it happens we all know it does but because of the fair trade rules.The mix is Much better for the health of your budgies. Look, I like the product its exceedingly high-end and good value but not when it is lost to weevils and sealed. The first pack I bought was 500g. It did not contain weevils and i was really happy with it. It lasted a long time in the same cupboard opened and also resealed. This time the 1.75 bag arrived infested and sealed, but I did not expect this as no one should. I stored it as i do my unused unopened seed for months until i was ready to use it as you should be able to. Seed should and does last up to 12 months or more, i have linseed, chia, millet etc all unopened months, some 4 months some 6 months some 10 months and all perfectly fine no weevils. I asked for a replacement and was refused. Fair trading says if your product doesn't do what it should for a reasonable amount of time or match the product description then you are entitled to a replacement if it's a major failure. I'd say a whole bag infested with weevils a major failure. The product was not yet 12 months, stored out of heat light, and moisture in a temp-controlled home with 24/7 cooling control which i can support with documentation as i have t10 incomplete paraplegia and dysautonomia. Seed should last if unopened (as was my $39.90 1.75kg bag of expensive food) up to 12 months if stored correctly as was mine.I am unsure why it's the company's choice to throw me away as a loyal consumer for some time now, and quote that their 'options are small', having spent $289.76 with them to date for my two budgies, over a $40,00 bag of weevils-infested food. Companies need to realize their returns policy is irrelevant if the fair trade rules are not adhered to. They stated: We appreciate that weevils are not pleasant to find in bird seed and strive to check our parcels as they arrive and before they leave just in case....unfortunately I am unable to provide any assistance in this matter given the time past. Should you find any issues with your orders in the future, please let me know right away as once we pass the 14 days window my options to act are very small. Fortunately, my options to act are not so small and I am no longer a get-flocked loyal consumer and will shop mostly elsewhere for my seed now using my consumer power of many options online, and due to the principle, they do not follow fair trade law or trust their consumer's word.
