Mike's Blend (Anniversary Blend)

All of McLaughlin’s coffees are excellent—They’ve been sourcing, roasting, and providing the beans for the Bay Area’s best coffee shops since at least the 90s, right here in Emeryville. Our favorite of all their different roasts is Mike’s Blend, formerly the Anniversary blend, renamed for the founder after he passed. Available only in July, its perfect—dark, rich, robust, tastes exactly as described on the bag: Dark Roast, notes of Chocolate Brownie, Walnut, and Cocoa Powder.

Amazing blend, really well balanced, on the darkier side but not overly so. Really smooth on the palate and really versatile for various hot and cold beverages.

I guess the Good old days really were

Trying the anniversary blend with expectations but despite being hopeful it was even better than expected. Full bodied and delicious without any of the downside that can come with that. Recommend acme levain as perfect accompaniment for a superb morning start
