Not the same as previous version.
I purchased one of these robes ten years ago, and it's worn out so I decided to purchase another. The new version looks the same, but the fabric is quite different. It feels more synthetic. Another difference, which makes the listing for this robe inaccurate, is that ties are no longer silk but polyester satin.
