Etched Wood Keepsake Box

What a beautiful, functional and versatile gift!

This wood "box" hardly does it justice. It's stain is rich with depth and variation, the wood itself is solid and sturdy, the hand carved whimsical flowers soften the sharp and perfect edges and corners, and the hinges are tight and strong. One can just imagine the treasures it could hold, or how to stage it on a table coupled with sophistication, or in a woodsy cabin setting. I gave this away to a friend who will take it to Kansas! Maybe it will hold "Wizard of Oz" memorabilia.

I bought this box to store all my grandchildren presents to me such a rocks, sea shells and flowers I dried in wax paper. Special memories.
