I really enjoy hand sewing with this and some beeswax. I've also, carefully, used it in my hand crank sewing machine as a top thread with a large needle. You have to go carefully as sometimes there are uneven lumps, but it gives an almost hand stitched look to boning channels, which is perfect for me.
