Great quality but beware of fit

Overall I am please with the jacket and I find the construction and quality very good. As someone previously noted, the shoulders are i bit narrow. On top of that the armholes are not particularly high. This combined with the rigid fabric makes movement of your arms beyond 45 degrees encumbered. The same goes when holding the handlebar of a bike. It does seem to soften a bit with wear, which makes it less encumbered. For reference I am 175 cm tall and weight 78 kg with a fairly athletic build. I opted for a size 5, which has a rather snug fit in the shoulder when moving, but i am able to wear a suit jacket underneath it fairly well.

The Ventile peacoat - navy

This is my second item from PWVC and I must say that, once more, I am amazed by the quality of your garments! The materials used and the craftsmanship are superb (the big horn buttons on this peacoat are particularly pleasing to the eye). This peacoat might not be as heavy duty as the ones made of melton wool, but it is still made of thick, sturdy canvas, and it looks like it can offer good protection from the elements. The styling is very classic and the navy color is extremely versatile. My only criticism is about the shoulder width, an issue mentioned by some other reviewers as well: it should have been a bit broader, compared to the mid-section. Overall, very happy with my purchase, keep doing what you are doing!

Great style, great quality. A bit hard wearing but I understand it should change with time. Fit is almost perfect, the sleeves are too long compared to my other PWVC outerwear. I chose the green colour to change from the classic navy blue and although less versatile I believe it works with many combinations. Very happy overall
