Yes, this Charkalis base is as good as it's said to be @ all the shaving forums. For me, it lathered up nice and provided a good, long-lasting protection that allowed blade-buffing and repeat passes with less risk of irritation than pretty much every other soap I've tried. To get better, I believe you'd have to go wayyyy beyond this price point. And I LOVE that I can get it in unscented form. Scent is very minimal; like far less than MWF, for instance (at least to my nose - YMMV and all that).
