Kaisley Platform Bed

I hate the metal legs that show by each leg of the bed it is not pictured in any photographs and they definitely show. I do not like that the wood slats supporting the bed are arched, each slat going across the bed is comprised of two half moon arcs. This makes it impossible to place a box spring (which is rigid, unlike the mattress) on the bed and the description says that this is an option. None of this is mentioned or described in the details I want to return the bed
