Wow, does the SD-02 deliver! Played in my first competition rounds with it this past week, and what a difference. On my drives, I have a tendency to hit high on the face and can balloon the ball, so to watch the SD-02 launch off the face, but then cut through the wind without the high-spin balloon effect was awesome. When I flashed the face open, I was amazed SD-02 held the line and turned by OB slice into a fade that stayed in play! Found myself with a lot of chips/pitches into the green than before. And that's where I really fell in love. I love the soft feel and higher spin around the green, though I had to make some adjustments, as I wasn't used to having the ball check so much. You can steer this baby around the greens as you will. For approach shots, I had to take into account that the ball was holding so well. I hit it fairly high, and my pitch marks were inches from my ball as I would expect if I was actually good. As a higher handicap, I was buying the used V1-X or RBX as my gamer ball. With SD-02, I was actually seeing better performance, and more consistency - mostly because I was playing all fancy-like with new balls. Love that I can actually afford to play new balls that perform so well. My SD-02's lasted 2 rounds with showing minimal wear. Even the lovely bark-mark from the tree came right out when I finally got to the green and could wipe it. I retired the ball after round 2 just because I felt rich (though I did keep it for a bonus play in a casual round). Loved the subscription price, though I'd prefer to get them as loosies when they come out!! If you want lower spins on the driver, and pro-level touch around the green, this is it.

Great for Distance
Have now played all the premium balls. SD-02 definitely go the furthest. I may go back and play a bit more with the X1 to see if iron play stops better as my only complaint with 02 is rolling through greens.
