Patagonia bound
Just used it once in the USA before long term use in cold and windy Patagonia. Had to custom make a round platform to safely place my only slightly bigger pot on the stove. Took about 20 minutes to get half a liter boiling. I'll update once back from the far south!

Vargo Hexagon Wood Stove: A Lightweight Marvel
I recently purchased the titanium model of the Vargo Hexagon Wood Stove, and I'm thoroughly impressed. This ingenious piece of gear has quickly become an essential part of my outdoor cooking kit. **Unbeatable Portability** What I love most about this stove is how incredibly light it is. The titanium construction makes it durable without weighing down my pack. Even better, it packs flat, which is a game-changer for someone like me who values space efficiency in my gear. **Versatile Fuel Options** I've used this stove with various fuel sources, and it's performed excellently across the board. As a wood-burning stove, it's been impressive. Once I get a small fire with coals burning, I can easily feed longer sticks horizontally through the open door. It does require frequent attention to maintain the burn, but it's surprisingly fuss-free. I just need to bump the stick in a little further or toss in a twig every few minutes. I've also used it with both the Trangia alcohol stove for simmering and the Snow Peak titanium alcohol stove when I want to minimize weight. Both work exceptionally well with the Vargo Hexagon. **Effective Wind Protection** One of the things that's really stood out to me is how well it performs in windy conditions. Even in medium wind, I didn't need an additional wind block. The hexagonal design serves as an effective wind shield on its own. **Perfect Minimalist Solution** For me, this stove is the perfect minimal combination of a stove, pot stand, and wind block. As someone who appreciates streamlined gear, I couldn't ask for a better all-in-one solution for my outdoor cooking needs. In conclusion, I highly recommend the Vargo Hexagon Wood Stove, especially the titanium model. Its lightweight design, versatility, and efficient performance have made it an invaluable addition to my outdoor gear. Whether you're a backpacker, hiker, or just someone who enjoys outdoor cooking, this stove is definitely worth considering.
