Sandnes Garn - Kos
Kos consists of alpaca fibres that are combined with wool and blown into a nylon stocking. This results in a soft, light and airy yarn.
Alpaca is about three times warmer than ordinary wool and thus insulates well. The fiber is hollow and breathable, so it feels warm in cold temperatures and cool in warm ones. The woo

A lovely wool to work with and a good range of colours to choose from.
Tilde gave some useful advice on choice of wool and the amount of wool necessary.
The only thing is, I do find the finished knit a bit itchy.
