6.25u spacebar clearance issue

I have both the aluminum plate and an extra FR4 plate and they both seem to not be able to fit either my zeal stabs or Durock stabs. Went with 7u configuration but something to keep in mind. Also watched a YouTube video where the builder ran into the same problem.
