The 1156 or BA15S bulbs are generally of great quality. They are well built. I installed the Red ones as my brake lights on my F25 BMW (2012 BMW X3 xDrive20i specifically) and they are brighter than the original halogens and are a deeper shade of red which is much more visible than the factory original bulbs, and I am happy with these. However, the Amber 1156 or BA15S bulbs, even though they are brighter and a more vibrant shade than the factory original bulbs, they do flicker quite quickly and trigger a canbus error. This causes error messages on the on my dash to state that the indicators are not working. I chose to leave the factory bulb installed for the rear indicators to eliminate this error.
