Good Replacement, Not Perfect
First of all, it doesn't take 1.5-2 hours. At least not for me. Getting the old downpipe out and the new one persuaded in was a pain. And laying on my back to get all the parts hung and connected was another pain. Overall, it took me anywhere from 4-6 hours. But I didn't knock any stars off for that. There are two big reasons I'm saying this exhaust isn't perfect: 1. Every single connection leaked. The included clamps suck, but even with nicer Walker exhaust clamps, it still leaks no matter how tight I make them. I ended up putting some exhaust RTV on the clamps and haven't checked that it was leaking through then since. I'm planning on welding them one day, just don't have a welder yet and it's too cold. 0.5 stars off. 2. The downpipe won't sit right on the turbo, so it also leaks. No matter how much I play with it, it just won't sit right. I don't know if I need to open the gap by the firewall more and get a better angle, or if the downpipe just isn't right. I'm pulling the engine in a few months and I'm going to figure out how to make it sit better then. Another 0.5 stars off. Overall, it's an okay exhaust replacement if you can fix the leaks (probably by welding). It sounds good (although I was expecting more turbo noise like the YouTube videos show. I'll blame leaving the catalytic converter in mine lol). Would I buy again? Probably, but I'd have different expectations that time so I won't be so upset that the "1.5-2 hour job" almost made it to where I couldn't drive to work the next day. But definitely WAY better than the rusty 28 year old exhaust I pulled off, so I'm still happy.
