Defiantly protects your glass screen. Installation is a little challenging regarding placement and centering. Could not get two corners and stay attached to the glass allowing those corners to not stay bonded to the glass.

Exactly what I needed

The original (clear) screens protector came off easily, although removing it cracked it in several places. But I don't care because I can now see the maps instead of the reflection of my chest in the screen. Highly recommend

Screen Protector....again?

I recall the online directions for the 865X noting to remove the screen (film??....don't recall the exact wording) by starting at the lower left hole in the tablet screen. Since I was having issues seeing the mapping in daylight, I finally decided to see if removing it would help the visibility. (Turns out I didn't have the brightness turned up all the way.) So, i removed this "film", which turned out to be a very thin plastic sheeting......NOT a film. Then I advertently dropped it on the floor and it broke! So, finally I ordered a "screen protector" just for a measure of safety for the tablet screen. When it came, I was amazed to find it was the exact same piece of plastic that i had removed initially! And, in trying to remove the air bubbles between it and the tablet screen, I managed to crack a corner. I suppose this sheeting is a screen protector, and possible a good one, but one must handle it with kid gloves.
