GRIMM HEEL - BLACK/BRASS

The shoe is decently built, with a sturdy material and a comfortable heel height. My biggest gripe is the tongue. It has a couple of issues, beginning with being cut far too short, so that the top of it is overlapped by the buckle. This makes sliding the shoe on awkward as I am fighting to keep the tongue in place, as well as impacting the overall look. Initially, I thought this was the only reason it felt unpleasant on the top of the foot, but after undoing the buckle, I noticed that the tongue is oddly shaped. The fabric on the underside is cut too angularly so that the stitching creates a very tall, structured, triangular shape that sits a good 1.5-2 cm above my arch at its apex and does not appropriately smooth down against the top of the foot without flaring up at its sides. Thus, beneath the buckle, the material gathers and feels bulky. There were also loose stitches in the seams at the top of the tongue that needed to be tucked in.

Great solid shoes. Will take some time to break in but well made.

These are the cutest heels! I am a huge fan and can't wait until they're broken in.
