My Favorite Place to Buy Bulky Yarn
I love the Bulky Base from Jems Luxe Fibers. I first got my taste for it at Indie untangled when I went way off the rails and bought 5 mini sets. I just finished knitting up the Tentactula Cowl with the Hestia Monster Bulky mini set and I knew I needed to have a matching hat. I LOVED the Cold Ash color in the cowl the most and thought it would compliment the cowl perfectly and it truly did. I plan to knit the Horntail Hat to keep with the Harry Potter theme. This color is so dimensional. It’s a dark gray/ nearly black with just warm burst of color but still subtle. I honestly want an entire sweater out of this colorway. As a side note this Bulky is not splitty at all and very even in weight throughout the skein. I have used bulky yarns in the past that either spilt very easy and get fuzzy or are a single ply with uneven thickness throughout. I tend to buy a lot of bulky and the Jems Luxe Monstrous bulky base is one of my favorites.
