- tbh, i bought these without checking measurements. i recommend measuring your vehicle, but they both fit in my chevy equinox with room left over! - i was worried that being made of metal, these would be too heavy, but they’re lighter than you’d think. which is good because they CAN get heavy if you pack a lot of metal tools or firewood. - comfortable if you’re driving to your site, and though you obviously won’t hike with these, i still don’t recommend walking too far either. - these are NOT animal proof. do not put any food or scented products in here. 1.) they don’t make a lid for these 2.) if you buy a 3rd party one, the container itself is not scent / water proof - as stated, these are not waterproof so keep them under your tarp or in your car you might think the price on these are not worth it, and you might be right. you kind of have to touch and see snow peak gear in person to understand its quality. these could quite possibly “last a lifetime.” I’ve used a lot of gear, but these not only look good, and perform good, but they make me feel good too. if you’re going to spend hours of your life on a hobby, make sure it’s enjoyable. i don’t think the brand should be so expensive, but there’s nothing else on the market i like. find your preferences. it might be something else but it might be this too.
