My partner and I have been doing lots of puzzles this summer and this was a challenging one and one of my favorites! Not just because it was Frida Kahlo, but because of the quality of the puzzle. The matte finish is very nice on the pieces which helps to see the different tones and shades in the white as those were the most challenging to place (the sky was too). The only two issues we had were that the puzzle was not the entire painting (the aspect ratio did not seem to allow for that), so it was unexpectedly cropped, and the pieces did not "lock" into place. If they were shifted or moved they would sometimes come undone. This wasn't a huge issue when we got all of the frame completed and much of the external pieces, but it could be an issue depending on how you construct your puzzles. I would also say that the puzzle maker could benefit from a printed sheet within the puzzle box showing the entire puzzle rather than the entire painting (on the puzzles box), just a suggestion. Otherwise, this was a good challenge for 1000 pieces and a quality puzzle.
