Whimbrel Black Leather & Gold Star Sneakers

2nd pair

I was looking for a darker pair of sneakers to take overseas and couldn’t find anything comfortable in any of the popular brands, then I remembered Bared as I have many pairs because the inbuilt orthotics have changed my life. They had the Whimbrel in black but I thought the white laces were too stark so they changed the laces to the black ones and they look great. I wore them at home last night and slipped on the wet tiles like on ice. This is very concerning as I want to wear them in wet Iceland and wet and probably muddy Ireland, hence the dark colour. I’m really hoping they become more “grippy” with wear otherwise it will be an expensive mistake. It seams just a few drops of water on the tiles was all it took for me to slip and that really frightened me. It would be such a shame as my other Bared shoes have been great and you would have thought that sneakers would be non slip!!

recommended by podiatrist, originally wanted to go for the similar design with side zip, but not available, so bought this pair, but not a fan of the white laces and went somewhere to buy black strechable shoe laces to replace

Comfortable and stylish

I love love love these sneakers, this is my second pair as I was slightly devastated when my dog chewed the first pair. I wear these on my travels, and my feet are always fine after a day of walking. They are sylish and comfortable for my broad feet.
