The expedition hood is awesome

The expedition Hood is exactly what I needed to ensure maximum comfort and warmth on the mountain. I love the easily adjustable mouth covering that allows for full face coverage on cold days and a more open feel on warmer days. Great quality and product!

Looks and feels good

Haven’t skied with it yet, but can tell it’s gonna be more than warm enough on frigid days. Got the gloves to match and they pair well together with the rest of my outfit. Interested to see how durable it is in a single season though.

Solid piece, good performance

Got 3 days of testing in on this one earlier this week at Mammoth. Decided to have it as my only head warmth, so hood down and no beanie or helmet. It was only 30~ but it was good enough to be my only warmth at that temp. With a beanie on top and hood up I cant imagine not being toasty in this thing even at -10~. Material was pretty breathable, and quite comfortable, with a good range of adjustment depending on whether I wanted my nose, mouth, chin, or none exposed. The fit was secure due to being somewhat elastic, but not tight - just about ideal for what you'd want for a piece to stay in place even with lots of head turning and wind. The primary reason that I bought it was it's made in the USA, which means higher quality, and I'm always happy to support domestic production of technical gear. Oh, and the pattern is actually pretty cool looking!
