They needed some work
To start with I am 5’10 and 180lbs. When I read the reviews on these before buying, people stated they did not fit their legs. I figured with my small/medium legs they would fit just fine. After I received them from trophyline they did not fit at all. I couldn’t even hook them on. After looking them over I saw the issue. They sewed the large piece of Velcro over the elastic strap making it unable to stretch to a persons leg. The fix was to remove 3/4 of the Velcro using a seem ripper which left about 1.5-2 inches of Velcro. I then sewed the edges and the straps worked great. This definitely should have been caught before production of these knee pads. Other than that, great product.

Good feel but tight on leg
The knee pads work great and feel good against the tree but I have muscular legs and the top strap is too tight on my leg even all the way out. Needs a little more adjustment

They’re Just, Ok
I had pretty high hopes for these knee pads. I upgraded from a cheaper Home Depot set I had been using for a while, to these. I figured buying knee pads specifically made by a saddle hunting company would have been more satisfactory than these were. For starters, the straps are incredibly small. The thigh strap is essentially useless due to is size. I am not a small man by any means, but I am also not gigantic enough to where these should be as small as they are. My last sit, I had one pair of base layer long John’s and a slightly insulated pair of pants and I had to max out the adjustment straps. With them maxed out, they were still incredibly tight. It would be impossible for me to wear a pair of bibs for a super cold late season sit. Even with these being as tight as they are, they tend to feel sloppy somehow. They don’t tend to sit straight on my knees and like to roll off to the sides. I have worn them for a few sits, hoping they would grow on me. So far they haven’t, which is disappointing as I was excited for these. With all that, they do appear to be well built. They seem sturdy and like they will last a while. They also are quiet and I do like the softer rubber outer shell of the pad. They also stack together quite well for packing in. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend them unless you are as skinny as a bean pole. If you happen to be built that way, then I’d say it’s a decent set of knee pads.
