Caution when using with Satin 4-Coat
The Red Low VOC Leather Dye worked great! I do want to give a heads up to anyone using this leather dye along with the Satin 4-Coat. I dyed my tan LaDuca heels that I’ve been dancing in for about 5 years, so the leather was worn in some places. With only the Red Dye on my heels the color was a deep fuchsia red, which was lovely but not the color I was going for. When I added the Satin 4-Coat it completely changed the color to a bright pink red with orange undertones. Luckily this pretty much matched the color I wanted, but the color change was shocking and I wish I would have known that the Satin 4-Coat could change the color so dramatically. I dyed my friend's LaDuca heels with the Blue Low VOC Leather Dye and the color was perfect so I didn’t use the Satin 4-Coat because I was concerned it would change the color. This was my first time dying leather and I learned a lot.

This was my first time using this brand of dye. I needed something very low odor and with as little rub off as possible, and I think it really works well. There was no smell at all, and the dye went on quite smoothly, with a brush for borders, and a dauber for broad areas. I am truly impressed and I plan to get some other colors!

Great product! Amazing Color
I loved that the color came out as I was hoping it would. With two coats its a deep, dark, and most importantly, rich red that I was hoping it would be. I wasn't sure whether to get red or dark red/ burgundy for the color I was looking for but this "red" was exactly what it. With a couple coats and a finish seal coat it looks exceptional. I don't know how it compares to the non "low-voc" but I don't really see a need to find out as this is so perfect.
