BMW F800GSA Adapter Set

Excellent solution for F800 GS Adventure

My bike came with hard boxes from the factory which is great for road trips, but I really wanted to add soft panniers for some challenging off road riding. The GSA is a tough one because of the odd way that the racks surround the muffler, etc. So I ordered the adapter set, and I'm extremely happy with the way they mounted and the way they hold the Backcountry 35l panniers. The whole setup looks great. The black finish with the Mosko logo cut-out looks awesome. The adapter plates are high quality and came with all the hardware and clamp adapters that I needed. I've been riding around for about 2 weeks, and have been very happy with how easy I can mount and unmount my panniers. I'll be taking a 9 day ADV ride through the MABDR and TAT sections and can't wait to give more feedback on the setup.

Great adapter but issues with hardware

The adapters are great, sturdy and have taken the full weight of the bike on them on a few falls. Something important to note is that the new version of the Backcountry Panniers (v2.5) come with 25mm bolts. These bolts are actually too short to reach the included pucks with the adapter. Mosko was kind enough to ship me a set of 40mm bolts as written in the instruction manual, but they're taking forever to arrive. I ended up getting some similar bolts from the hardware store and that did the trick. The exhaust side adapter plate has to be mounted quite high up on the bike to match the height of the right (non-exhaust) side. I still have to bring mine up just a tad to match the height on both sides since the right side (non-exhaust) cannot be lowered any more.
