The best textured PEI on the market
I have textured PEI from Prusa, QIDI, Energetic, non-brands, and private labeled ones from the biggest DIY printer and parts resellers in the US. I also have smooth PEI (amber, and black) from a wide variety of those sources as well. Most are okay. Some less so, some a bit better. I also have Whambam's CF and PEX plates.
Hands down, this is my absolute go-to build plate. It's vastly undermarketed vs the CF and PEX plates. The CF plate has a place for things that are super sticky and tend to overbond, like PPS-CF and HTPET. However, those require bed glue for nearly everything else, and the surfaces are not as durable as this Ultem textured PEI.
I use it for everything, including PLA, PETG, TPU, PET, PC, ABS, ASA, PPA, and PPS. Great bonding and lets go when cold.
Tip: If you have a stone countertop, remove the build plate and rest it on the countertop. It will suck the heat out quickly, and you will quickly hear the crackling / popping sound as the parts release.
