Love this film

Absolutely love this film, super glad to now add it to my collection and check out some of the bonus content. Also glad to have the reversible cover, as I personally prefer the one inside upon opening.

Not your usual coming-of-age drama

Therapy Dogs by Ethan Eng is a loose, semi-improvised coming-of-age film that captures the restless energy of two high school friends drifting through their final days before graduation. Blurring the line between fiction and reality, the film follows its characters as they skip school, chase distractions, and reflect—often indirectly—on the uncertainty of growing up. Its raw, handheld style and naturalistic performances give it an almost documentary-like feel, turning everyday moments into something quietly introspective and emotionally honest. The Blu-ray release from Utopia preserves that unpolished charm while presenting the film in a clean and stable format that respects its original aesthetic. Rather than over-refining the image, the transfer maintains the immediacy and texture of its digital origins, which is essential to the film’s identity. As a physical release, it highlights Utopia’s interest in contemporary independent cinema, giving a small, personal project a wider platform and making it accessible to collectors who appreciate intimate, unconventional storytelling.
