Portuguese Pottery Alcobaça Ceramic Salt Cellar with Lid

Beautifully artistic answer to my problem

Our decor has recently changed to Santa-Fe style, with Talavera ceramics adding color and penache. All the pieces I needed were easy to find, except for a small bin with a wooden, hinged lid for sweetener packets. When I found this beautiful, artistically designed little bin online, I knew it was exactly what I needed. When it arrived, in record time, I was delighted. It is now filled with sweetener packets, and the wooden lid closes nicely to keep them safe inside. The small size is charming, but makes a bold statement. One could hang it on the wall, but ours sits on the counter, and with its miniature Talavera-tile design, is a colorful and useful piece. I am so grateful for Portugal ceramics for making this sweet little bin, and offering it at a fair price!

Lid didn’t stay up

This salt box is very pretty and would look nice on any counter. Unfortunately the lid doesn’t stay up which makes it difficult to use when cooking. I decided to return it and company very nice about sending a postage paid return label.
